Drove from South Texas to Pensacola Florida for Hurricane Dennis. Was called by storm company to come and claims to follow. When arrived at storm office was met by storm boss who gave me paperwork, immediately made derogatory remarks about some Texas adjusters from prior storm running off with claim files (not turning them in). Proceeded to tell me that power was delaying claims. Was issued adjuster # and box. I rented the cheapest thing I could find $600 per week for lodging and waited..........and waited.........each time storm office was contacted for claim status a new excuse...........finally told by storm boss that if I was from TX - AL - LA -MI - NC that I could go home. Excuse was NO CLAIMS!!!!!! Just enough for a few select adjusters who are from the Florida area. I understand given the circumstances from last year that companies felt the need to overstaff BUT I have spent around $2000 to come this far. What THE? ? Claims just for locals? ??
By the way I was not an adjuster that took off with files I checked out and closed every file and left in good standing!

We had a similar experience, called out and told no claims. Decided to make it a week vacation at the beach. Better luck next time hopefully.

Deployed for Dennis, waited around as long as I could. Told no claims. I didn't work last year and really couldn't afford this!! Cheapest room within 50 miles of Pensacola was $100.00 a night. What's up, don't they realize some of came a VERY LONG WAY to work this storm

Traveled to Florida as asked by storm manager. Set around for tooooooooo long, finally told to go back, not enough claims. Claims that were received were assigned to adjusters who had handled IVan claims for them last year.
